Essex blanks Blades 2-0

Tuesday night the Blenheim Blades travelled to Essex to play against
the Provincial Junior Hockey League Stobbs Division leading Essex
’73s, and came home on the short end of a 2-0 score.
The loss leaves the Blades with an 8-7-0-0 record, and 16 points that
is good enough for third-place in the eight-team loop, two up on the
fourth-place Mooretown Flags.
Essex scored a goal in each of the first two periods, with Jacob
Cruiskshank putting his team up 1-0 at 17:14 of the first 20 minutes,
and Jack Bulmer making it a two-goal lead at 3:08 of the second
frame.

BLADES BITS: The Blades will be home Sunday night to host the
Dresden Kings at 7 p.m., and the game will be the first of four in a row
on home ice…Next Thursday the Amherstburg Admirals will be in
town at 7 p.m., followed by the Lakeshore Canadiens Sunday the 20th
and the Kings again on Saturday, Nov. 26 on Alumni Night at 6…Not in
the lineup for the Blades were forwards Connor Wright, Sam Warriner
and Ryan Sanders, along with defenceman Ben Brooks…Owen
Lemieux was in goal for Blenheim and faced 32 shots while his
teammates managed 22 on the Essex net…In the lineup for the first
time this season were affiliated players Remi Steen and Gavin
Meriano…
