Blades drop third in a row, fall to Lakeshore 4-1

The Blenheim Blades hosted the defending Stobbs Division and Provincial Junior Hockey League champion Lakeshore Canadiens Sunday night at the Blenheim Memorial Arena, and ended up on the short end of a 4-1 score.

  The Blades have now lost three in a row and are 3-5-0-0 on the season for six points and a share of fourth place with the Mooretown Flags and the Amherstburg Admirals in the eight-team division.

  Blenheim will be right back in action Thursday when they host the Amherstburg Admirals at 7 p.m. at the arena, and are home again Sunday at 7 to Mooretown.

  Lakeshore opened the scoring thanks to a goal by Josh Chauvin at 16:27 of the first period, with Tate Bowden tying things at 1-1 at 18:44 with assists going to Alec Webster and Austin Drew.

  Bowden now has four goals on the season.

  The Canadiens Neil Garvey had the only goal of the middle 20 minutes, with Aydon Novacco and Luc Chauvin scoring in the third.
