Today the Blenheim Blades announced that they have added veteran Junior ‘A’ and Junior ‘B’ and current Chatham Maroon defenceman Craig Spence to help bolster an already strong, veteran blueline.
Spence, who hails from Chatham, was a seventh-round pick by the Mississauga Steelheads in the 2018 OHL Priority Draft. He has played 123 games with the Maroons, and the entire 2019-20 season with the Junior ‘A’ Georgetown Raiders of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
In his Maroon career the 20-year-old scored 19 goals and assisted on 46 others. With Georgetown in 48 games, he had five goals and 11 assists for 16 points.
Currently Spence is recovering from an injury but should be in the Blades lineup by the new year.
