The Blenheim Blades Jr. ‘C’ hockey team is entering into its 59th year of operation. The team is not privately owned but a community run club, one of a very few left in Ontario, with an executive/board of directors. Without the support of the many sponsors and volunteers we would be unable to provide another level of hockey for players after minor hockey.
It’s a stepping-stone for some players to develop their skills further before going to a higher level. The Blades currently have one former player – Matt Martin of the New York Islanders – in the NHL.
